Health Insurance at Reduced Rates for NYMHCA Members in Private Practice!

New York Mental Health Counselors Association has partnered with Working Today's Freelancers Union to facilitate access to affordable health insurance for members residing in the following counties:  Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Orange and Rockland.  NYMHCA members are eligible to receive a $25 discount on the health insurance application fee.  To receive the discount, be sure to select NYMHCA from the list of Partner Organizations when registering on the Freelancers Union site.

Eligibility requirements: To be covered by Working Today’s insurance plans, you must:

1. Be a freelance or independent worker AND

2. Live or work in New York state AND

3. Have worked at least 20 hours per week, for the past 8 weeks OR have earned at least $10,000 in the last six months, in one or more of the following industries and occupations:
